




BRIEF
My role: Social Media Community Manager
Responsibilities: Social media management, public and media relations, video production, post scheduling, daily community management
Execution: I created monthly calendars for evergreen posts and campaigns, increased post consistency, posted organic content that increased fan interaction and delight; incorporated more awareness around brand partnerships (Fun Fun Fun Fest, South by San Jose, Maverick Music Festival), and managed customer complaints and feedback on native Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Results: Increased traffic to Shiner’s website and beer finder by 8%, round-the-clock customer service response and increased audience engagement by 30%, making Shiner a more engaged brand with consumers.
CASE STUDY
After taking over as the voice of Shiner, I tasked myself to engage with Shiner fans more. Research showed there were opportunities in organic video content including boomerang videos, YouTube spots as well as other opportunities such Tumblr, real-time contests and influencer partnerships.
Acting on the research, I revamped and maintained the Shiner Holiday Bazaar and introduced organic video content that surprised and delighted fans. Contests such as the Shiner Dog Collar Contest allowed Shiner to be positioned for spur-of-of the moment influencer opportunities, and helped connect Shiner with fans in areas that hadn't been explored in depth before.
